Math 4B-Section 7.3 Homework

Hello Everyone,

A student brought it to my attention that the answers in the back of the book for the derivative of an inverse problems is in terms of x not y. This is because after finding f'(y) they then use the function f to solve for the formula for the inverse (remember y= f inverse of x). This adds some extra steps to the problem if you want your answer to match the one in the back of the book.

To All faculty,
This semester, for the first time, we a communicating priority registration to all currently registered students via the Merced College student email system. Students may access their Merced College email through the Merced College Portal. Many students have accessed the Merced College Portal and have used the resources within the portal, including student email. Many of you have encouraged your students to use this resource and I thank you for your efforts.
I am requesting that you indicate to all your classes that Registration Priorities have been sent to students via their Merced College email. Students should check their Merced College student email to determine their priority registration group and date. Students may then register for their classes when their registration priority date arrives.

Study Central

Greetings! By now you've probably heard some buzz about the Study Central program. This program is funded by our newly acquired SSPIRE grant, and the focus of Study Central (SC) is to better serve our students. We're located in the cafeteria and our hours are MWF 9-1 and TH 11-3. An instructor or counselor is always on duty to provide instruction, information, assistance, answer questions, etc. Please promote this program to your students. Remember, if students need formalized tutoring they should use the Tutoring Center and if they want quiet, peaceful, independent study they should use the Library. SC will also serve as an information hub. Instructors/counselors on duty should be able to answer any general questions students may have about Merced College's learning support services.
